We were in action at the Seitz Memorial at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND over the weekend and ended up with a pair of pretty big victories over the weekend for our efforts. (Mike Spieker photo | Speedway Shots)
Thursday, we were fortunate enough to sweep the heat and feature in the NLRA Late Model portion of the event and was able to race home with the Prelude to the Johnny title. We also entered Midwest Modified action and after running 5th in our heat, we won the b-main and then charged from 17th up to finish 4th in the feature.
Friday night, we were involved in a crash in our Late Model heat race, knocking us out of contention and putting us behind the eight ball in Saturday’s b-main lineups. We also finished fifth in the race of champions. In the Midwest Mod, we started 4th and raced up to 2nd, securing the 6th starting spot in Saturday’s main event.
Saturday, we ended up in the front stretch wall during our Late Model b-main, which ended our night early, but in the Midwest Mod, we charged from 6th early to the lead and ended up driving off up front to pick up our second big check of the weekend and our 1st Seitz Memorial Midwest Mod title.
